I thought I would have a look at Elinor in preparation for the Airflo final in a few weeks.

It's fishing very well, with risers all over the place and fish taking Daddies and Diawl Bachs avidly. I actually had seven double hook-ups Very expensive on flies as I only once got them both in, but I did end up with eighteen released and just one taken - a cracker of a fish at 7-10, which took line all over the place.

A few people there had this sort of number of fish, although they were not well spread out, packed into half a dozen areas where, at times you got a pull as soon as your flies landed.

Well worth a visit if you want your string pulled.
