Stay close to the banks and fish a fluffy hairs ear on your dropper using a washing line method keeping it high in the water. Trout will think it resembles the old killer shrimp and jobs a good 'en as they say.

I have never failed to catch a fish from drifting around G Buoy. Gaynes Cove too.

They've been hard on the buzzer in recent weeks, although the back end of last week with the wind blowing hard it was back to pulling. Anywhere along the west bank has been very productive, Valley creek, and savages have produced good fish as well.

As for the killer shrimp, they have been fairly dormant so far this season, apparently they go into the deeper water until things have warmed up so don't expect to see them until later in the season.
