Charlie,

Unfortunately I will have to pull out, work have been particularly unhelpful to put it mildly. If you have over ordered on the BBQ side of things, do let me know and I can send you a cheque in the post.

I hope you all get plenty of tight lines, best wishes.

Howard, no problem. We've got a few more coming than anticipated so there will be no overstocking on the BBQ

Charlie,

Two good reasons why I cannot be there although I would love to.

1) Farmoor is 500 miles from where I live in Aberdeenshire.

2) It is our 40th wedding anniversary that weekend and my good lady has alternative plans.

Reason for post - I visit my daughter in Oxford a couple of times a year and always fish Farmoor . Great place.

Have a great day and tight lines all.

I hate it when people state the obvious.

Thumbs up

I had a good afternoon / evening at Farmoor today (Sat). I had 5 quality fish between 2 and 3 lbs all on a black hopper fished in the surface (the fish seemed to respond better to the hopper in rather than on the surface). I fished on the causeway up towards the sailing club. There was a good rise of fish towards evening and they seemed willing to feed on the surface, most people were catching. Bodes well for next week.
All the best,
Andy.

Hiya Charlie,

Cant wait till Saturday.

Managed to tie a pair of Daddies, fiddly buggers!

Anyway, my Mate Marco wants to come as well, so if you can add him to the list.

He cant cast very well and therefore prefers to fish from a boat, so he will book a boat.

Do you want us to bring some grub for the BBQ?

Cheers

Vince

Vinnie, all grub and cooking equipment is being very kindly provided and organised by PP and Martha- just hot dogs and burgers, for which we will be asking a contribution of 3 Quid per head, so that is taken care of already.

Stewart is also putting up a line for best bag, I think.

Hope the daddies work, I think it needs some rain for them to be there in the numbers we had last year.

See you Saturday,

Charlie

Hi guys,

I was there just over a week ago and the fish were just under the surface.

After trying a few things i sussed out that they wanted something pulled.

On went a couple of hoppers and the fish went mad for them.

Lets hope for a cloudy day.

Mark

Mark, I'm looking forward to seeing you all. Forecast keeps changing from sunny to cloudy to sunny, but if it's like today I think it will be tough.

I'm packing the TCR and Di7 shooting head gear, just in case

Where did you fish ?

Charlie
