If you want, I could meet you in Wokingham and you can follow me to the fishery.

Any info on prices, types of ticket etc? The website has been 'under development' for a long time and not much there.

Also, is it just boat fishing or bank as well? Never done the boat thing and a bit reluctant to go it alone as a complete boat novice!

Can fish from both boat or bank.
2 fish-£18
3 fish-£22
4 fish-£25
5 fish-£30

No catch or release.
Single fly only.

£8 boat

Boats produce more more than bank.

Look for Spinwheel lane (the fishery signs are very low and small) turn into lane and follow it round to the right you will se a wooden/sleeper bridge we are over that.

Also half day and evening tickets for fishing and boats plus a novice ticket.

I wouldn't avoid going out in the boat if I were you just because of lack of experience, as great fun can be had (comical in my case). The lake isn't so big that you can't get to anywhere by rowing and you attach yourself to a bouy, my limited but enjoyable experience is that your more likely to catch a little ways out than from the bank. (Life jackets are supplied )
In all I would have said the place was perfect when beginning out on boats for the first time.
Anyways have fun, looking forward to getting there myself when I'm next down that ways

Chris

Fshed it today caught two rainbows around 2lb each and a beatuiful little rudd, both trout were covered in what looked like lice but fought well. Also they were my first trout on a dry fly missed loads by being too excited watching them gulp them down.all other anglers were fishing from the bank and according to catch returns blanked.

Nice place and a good place to try out a boat for the first time .
