Some great catches at Tweeddale Millennium
Some excellent catches have been had at the millennium, anglers are saying its like it used to be in the old days, Andy kelly who normally fishes with the Clealand miners ac had a visit last week with his mate fraser allan, and what a day it ended up being, with Andy catching a fish of a life time a 15lbs 12oz Brownie. (well done andy) Also, giving the millennium a first time visit was Ronald and Diana Scott from Whitburn, Diana had her biggest ever rainbow that tipped the scales at 10lbs 14oz, there total bag weight between them was 30lbs. There has been several doubles off this week and anglers are having terrific sport, fish are not all doubles and are ranging from 2lbs upwards. Many anglers are more happy catching 20 or so 2lb plus rather than just doubles ,but at tweeddale they have the chioce IF THEY WANT TO KEEP A BIG FISH OR NOT ! Buzzers, diawl bachs, hoppers, nwmphs , yellow dancer, various lures have all taken fish in good numbers. We only ask anglers, when on catch/release please keep the fish in the water at all times and use barbless or debarbed hooks. thanks
