Popped down to Felix Farm in Berks today having read some complimentary reports on flyfishingvenues, and I had a very pleasurable few hours in a very pretty part of the country.
Lovely welcome from Len, Rob (new-ish owner) and Ed and very enjoyable fishing from a boat, catching my limit of 4 rainbows on small nymphs near the top and also on dries on the surface, each fish around 2 lbs, and giving a good fight in the crystal clear water
As I mentioned, this is a pretty part of Berks but I think it has to be said that at this time of the year, the proximity of the M4 is noticeable with the surrounding trees not yet covered with leaves. The fishery also has a nice lodge with decent facilities and plenty of free tea and coffee.
All in all, a great day, and as this is beginning to sound like an advert, I'll sign off!

Really glad to hear that things have improved there. I used to go quite a lot (before the change in ownership), always enjoyed it - but didn't ever catch. TBH I didn't really want to as the fish didn't ever look too healthy (hooked a few). But there was glowing reviews last year, so have been tempted to pop back at some point.

I did manage to catch a landing net on a booby there once, must have been a good 20ft down.
