Weed is a problem is some areas but a well stocked fishery.
I took my two fish on a black cats whisker.
You need wellingtons at the moment as the ground is sodden with all the rain lately.

Love barn elms tho sometimes the fish are suicidal and its a bit easy isnt there a river you can fish there ??

Didnt see a river beside the lakes but you are right about the fish being suicidal, both the fish I landed and the one that got away were poor fighters.

Barn Elms is my "local" fishery and been there a number of times. Damselflies everywhere - you can end up with a line of them on your rod. Suicidal stockies but they are in excellent fully finned condition. Some give up easily, others less so - found that a little variable. Nice and friendly place (bailiffs and owner) but like the others say, it can be a little easy some times. Not the place to fish a lure if you want a whole day's fishing on a 2 fish ticket - quickest yet is 10 casts, 20 minutes, 2 fish. Water not clear enough to stalk individual fish, but usually quite a lot of surface activity so dries can be fun.
