Default Craufurdland Report

Update of Craufurdland Fishery. Now being run by Estate owners, brothers Alex and Simon Craufurd. Clubhouse now serving food. Pegs being updated, and general upkeep improved. Still stocking weekly with rainbows from Henry at RDT Co. All well, and hope you will come and see the new improved fishery soon

Post worth a visit

Fished it yesterday. They are making all the right improvements. Not overly stocked. Plenty surface action. Fish are an average 2lb, if your looking for a 20+ day, then you'll have to look elsewhere, if your looking for a challenge, then this water will suit you.

craufurldland is a great place to go.

a couple of weeks ago the owners we so kind to me.
i turned up on a sunday morning after walking there, only to find out there was a competition on!
the owner was so nice found me a spare peg and asked if I didnt mind moving when the whistle blew every half hour or so for the compettion could I move round 4 pegs etc.
now I thought this was very kind of them as it would have been easier to just send me home.
the owners are regenerating the fishery once again and it is a great place.
very friendly and you can see they are making a great effort to turn it into a great fishery again.

i actually would like to say a big thanks to them for letting me fish that day.
Cheers
Rusty

If you go down on a Wed. evening [ 5.30 till dusk ] a couple of CFF members, Jim and Gail, will be on hand to offer help with casting etc.
Flickaspin Jim is usually there as well, but luckily he's only making the tea

That's the type of 'thumbs up' that sells a lot of day tickets. Don't have that type of fishery here in the PNW (well I'm sure there's the odd one), but this is the best advertising ... Happy Camper word of mouth.

Default Thumbs up

Club outing to Craufurdland yesterday, and can only agree with most of what’s been said already.
The bro’s are obviously making an effort, walking the shore talking to the anglers, picking up rubbish, discarded leader etc. generaly keeping on top of things. Long may it continue.
Nice touch is, coming round with flasks of tea, coffee & cold soft drinks, that’s a new one for me, like it.

Yeh, enjoyed it, will be back.

Default Re: Craufurdland Report

Had the place to myself last night for the evening rise, had a lot of interest with sedges but no firm takes, then Claret Hopper went on and that done the trick. They were hitting it very hard, got snapped with 6.7lb Stroft . Managed to keep a hold of a couple though which were safely returned.
Facilities improving all the time, well done Alex and co for all your hard work.

Cheers Diarmid.
