Default Farmoor 25.7.07

Arrived late morning. Wind blustery and generally southerly; cloudy with a few rain showers.

Fished past the boat jetty. Fish showed sporadically. Tried a few likely nymphs but only got tentative plucks. Emergers brought a more positive response, especially a 12s red seal fur shuttlecock design. Also took fish on a washing line set-up with a Cat's Booby on the point and various nymphs on the droppers. Fish took both. Packed up with eight fish by early evening. Best fish a beautifully conditioned 2.5 pounder.

Quite a few fish shed the hook and, extraordinarily, I was smashed twice by double hook-ups.

Saw a very large brownie move but well out of range. Quite a fish!

Not much in fishes' stomachs, except a bit of daphnia and some very small midge pupae.
