Default Toft Newton Saturday AM

First visit to Toft Newton.

Interesting place pretty feature less (I did know it was a concreate bowl) the owner was friendly and helpful. After I managed to get out of the row boat dock in the gale that was blowing I did not venture too far.

Started on a floating line with Buzzer and Daiwl bach, nothing. Switched to an intermediate and an orange tadpole, got a follow first cast then a take on the third, small stockie. Tried a green/white cats whisker a great thumping take and taken right to the backing only a small 2lb+ fish!!

Tried to move on got nowhere, my anchor was in the boat, what was wrong? five minutes later rowing like mad getting nowhere (I thought it was windy but this was ridiculous!). Stopped inspected my anchor again, it was in the boat but it had snagged two more! one that would not move. Had to call the lodge to be rescued

By then my tennis elbow was playing up big time so I had to pack in, will go again when a little less windy!! and may stay on the bank
