Default dry fly sport Ravensthorpe

Ravensthorpe has been fishing its head off for three weeks now, as I found out yesterday.I spent all day drifting with a team of small bob's bits and a claret hopper on the point, casting at rising fish that didn't go down until three o'clock.Wonderful way to fish, fanning out your casts on a short line, wait ten seconds and recast.I must have risen over a hundred fish; I found they wanted it in the surface film and not bobbing about like a cork on top, which resulted in a refusal. If I could easily see my flies I had over greased them.
Fish quality was, as usual, superb, with three overwintered fish between 4-6 lb in my catch. Why there were only four boats out I don't know- with such great sport in such lovely surroundings you would think it would be fully booked.
Get down there, but leave me a boat!!
