Scratch,
Fish are abundant from the blue pipes to the dam and very close in!so plenty of great sport from the bank but not so good from the boats just now.
Diawl Bachs,PTNs and buzzers are catching well.

Turn right out of the boat dock and head for the dam , the blue pipes are on the bank past the church. Just before the blue pipes is a concrete post next to a small copse, this has held fish this season too.

Think I'll retire and charge some hapless angler £50 to share a boat with me, at his expense of course- and they wont be taught how to pull blobs!

Whats wrong with pulling blobs?
I pull blobs as does the English champion Phil Dixon. Did Ivan Marks get a load of shi-e when he started using a roach pole?
I go fishing to enjoy myself and not whinge and moan about how others fish get a life and leave blob pullers to pull

Andy

PS Ziggy and the lads at Rutland Gillies are a great bunch of lads who not only know loads about the water they also help raise money by fishing and guiding in the water aid matches.
Sometimes they even pull blobs too, and tube flies. But are equally at home fishing dry flies for rising fish at rutland and all the midland waters.

Just had 2 great days at Rutland Wed & Thurs. Limit on both days pulling Blobs and boobies at Fantasy. Di 3 or 5 lines due to the wind, but the fish were quite near the surface. Should have been fishing today but the boats were not allowed on the water due to high winds
