Default Mill Farm 30 Jun

Ducked out to Mill Farm today to grab a couple of hours between the rains. Only 2 there when I arrived and both left within half an hour (note to self - shower before fishing). Its the first time I have been there when it is empty and it fishes much better without the pressure of crowds.

I took 3 rainbows in a relaxed hour and a half on bloodworm before bravely retiring ahead of the next squall. Two of the fish I saw doing head and tail rises and cast to them, both took on the drop. Occasionally they were taking off the surface but not regularly enough to change to a dry. Although all were about the 2lb mark they had full tails and fought their weight.

Its nice when it all goes to plan.

regards

vgb
