Think you will find Ifor from Thornton posts as well ,strange how a free to post facility like this is ignorred by most fishery owners .
There is a somewhat better reporting system over on Chris Cooks forum but I dare not mention that here

Ifor is the manager of Thornton not its owner. Dont severn Trent own it?

I wouldnt worry i think you'll find the owners are busy writing provocative rubbish in TF about how hard done to they are! Before all the sympathisers respond i DO sympathise with the travails of fishery owners but felt the tone of Tim Smalls article was an affront to fishermen who obey the rules and generally support the 'trade'!!!!

TF seem to be doing a sideline in knocking anglers at the moment! Mr Cockwills somewhat condescending article on 'what type of angler are you!?' was also a bit strong too. Perhaps TF have forgotten who their readership is!!!!

Default Farmoor

Fished Farmoor on Saturday had a really good day.Caught seven But the rod average was i think two point something! Not the sort of thing you want to advertise. I am not knocking the fishery it is IMHO the best reservoir in the area full of hard fighting very good quality rainbows.

But as with most reservoirs you need to know what works on what day. There were two boats fishing Saturday four anglers, When i left at 20:00hrs they had 2 fish between them!

But if you post a poor rod average you run the risk of putting people off.

Tim.

As Andy says, I have a lot of fishery reports on my site - www.completefisher.com/forum - then go to Fishery Updates and select UK

Fishery reports are added every day and the number we report on is always growing

This section of the forum does seem to be pretty quiet these days compared to about 12 months ago.

It amazes me how many people post the old "how's xxxxx fishing? What's catching? I'm off there at the weekend" and then fail to post a report themselves.

If people just took the time to report in each time they go, giving details on methods (successful or otherwise) and areas, this section would be a lot more interesting and we might all learn a bit from each other.
