Redbournebury fishery.
I have fished this once, but will return. The river is NOT easy. There is a lake with the standard rainbows but I didn't fish this as most of my rainbows come from Farmoor. The 'river' has a head of decent size browns but don't go thinking of wide chalk streams. There is a length of quite fast but very narrow river, nice and clear, but only about 6' wide. Don't try to wade until you are a bit upstream from the trout lake either...there is a fair amount of silt on that stretch. Alongside the trout lake the river widens and shallows...stalking country. I made a complete hash of it when I went (1st visit was my only excuse.) and managed 1 escaped rainbow on an f fly. Dont take a long rod for the river. Best ring before you go, details on their website. I will be back, probably casting on my knees as the browns ain't daft!
PS It's not exactly signposted! If you decide to go ring for directions or I will send a PM.
