Default lake of menteith

I hear on the grapevine that there may be a reduction of the kill limit for next season from 5 down to 4 and maintain the same prices, which i think is no bad thing considering the economic circumstances fisheries finding themselves cut backs or permit increases are likely throught fishing in the uk.

Everyone is feeling the effects of the present climate , so it will be a hard job trying to get it right , as too much = lost custom , to little fisheries will struggle , I always take a kill ticket as I am against total c/r for numerous reasons , but in saying that I give all my fish away , so overall I would prefer a fish less and the same price . Just my view , it would be interesting to hear others views on this subject.

Last I heard was a £2 increase to £54.00 for a weekend boat and a reduction in the kill limit to 8 fish per boat - I guess all will find out soon when the new price list comes out.

Why do some fisheries charge more at the weekends , would it not be fairer to spread costs over 7 days a week rather than discriminating against those who can only fish at weekends due to work reasons etc

I do not fish at weekends very often, by choice.but I agree with the above ,It always seems so unfair to punish the ordinary working guy/gal,who's leasure time is limited to weekends.

Here here always found it to be a pure scam . Biggest thing that gets up my goat as well is the way they want top dollar in summer i.e Day session in boat and seprate evening session . I think if you pay £52 for a boat you should have it all day full-stop!!
