Default Castle angling club (johnstone )going stronger than ever

Castle angling club (johnstone )the club is still running and has more members than ever a couple of new comitee members and loads of new members. The club has been running for over 100 years and is very well run . Their water runs from castlesemple loch in lochwinnoch down to where it meets the river gryffe next to inchinnan.it has plenty of wild brown trout a number of sea trout , and gets a reasonable amount of salmon also ,.castle semple gets fished mostly for course fish .annual and day permits can be bought in rods n reels high street johnstone . Hope this has been helpfull to you . Cheers

been fishing the cart this season caught plenty of brown trout ,had two salmon hooked and lost .however my main concern is that the river is getting hammered by poachers whenever there is a run of salmon especially on the plum ,my suggestion would be to ban all fishing on this pool.

Hi pal i agree with banning fishing in the plum but its never going to happen the river is getting policed alot more this season i have been asked 2 or 3 times for my ticket this year more than i have ever in the 14 years a member,
as soon as the local guys find out theres salmon up everyone is down fishing without a valid ticket but if you say anything to these idiots its more hassell than its worth usually leads to you being threatend etc,

i think the club need to try get crown baliffs on the water alot more.
