Anyone fished Farmoor in the past week? Visiting tomorrow and fancy an update.

Cheers

So you did.....................so many Farmoor threads I had missed it. Not a bad day then ?

I think cloud is very important at Farmoor, if you are looking to fish nymphs.

I will get up there in a few weeks and maybe some of us can meet up.

Charlie

Fished Farmoor today from the boat, and the cloud they predicted materialised.........for all of half an hour! Flat calm and bright sun all day resulted in one fish on a minkie booby fished near marker 7. Bloody hard work for one fish! Left at half seven with no sign of a rise materialising. Shame about the weather, my season is being plagued by c**p conditions! At least the suntan looks good!

I will be back; the staff are a credit. Although I should have fished it early in the season when the rod average was 5!

Good luck to those that attempt it tomorrow, it’s forecast to be the same.

Smile FARMOOR on 9-06-07

I fished it that day. The conditions couldn't have been worse with baking hot sun and a flat calm!!
I had 5 on a sight bob with a buzzer fished a couple of foot below.
Had to leave at 5.00 so probably missed the best part of the day!

You certainly did better than myself Fisher, and it didn’t improve for me after 5 either! I tried buzzers for a fair proportion of the day but couldn’t buy a pull. Where were you fishing?

I will certainly be back, probably towards the end of the year when it’s cooled down. It’s a fair drive for me for one fish, but always good to experience new places, and a fish is a fish!

Default RE: Where was I fishing

I was on the bend just past the boats near the farm.
As soon as a bit of cloud covered the sun and a very gentle breeze appeared
I started to get takes but as soon as the sun came back out the fish vanished!
So I thought the fish would have been back up on the top when the sun went down later on.

Martin.
