Default Frandy

Off to Frandy on Saturday. Anyone fished it recently or heard any reports of how it's fishing. I haven't been up for a couple of years but from what I remember, most fish were caught on dries the last time.

As ever, any help greatly appreciated.

Thumbs up Frandy

Hi, Wiremill,

Was up at Frandy on Saturday with a club. It was a hard day, but I was lucky enough to get 4. We had one limit of 5. Cat's whisker did well early (on a ghost tip), on the stretch opposite the boat dock left of the first burn. It was quiet during the middle of the day, although there was always the odd fish moving - I raised a couple on a bibio hopper, but they did not stick. Late in the day we moved to the dam on the south side, drifting from the very shallow water out towards the tower. There were fish moving and after a couple of follows to the cat booby (on a floater) I changed to a small black and green booby - 2 more fish off the top, taking it like a dry! I gather my club colleague too his on a variety of cormorants.

Willster might add his 2 pennyworth - he was there too, but left before I could get a chance to speak to him - no pressure Paul!!

Hope this helps - let us know how you get on - back there on 16th!

Thanks Diogg. Looks like it could be tough going on Saturday as well - forecast is for no wind and 24 degrees I seem to remember from previous visits that the fish were happy to rise even in bright sunlight but I never seem to have the confidence to fish right on the top in those conditions. I'll report back on how we get on - it may be a brief report

Thanks again.

Exclamation Frandy

I've just checked the Frandy Website

http://www.frandyfishery.com/

and found this:

Subject to the rumors that are circulating about Frandy the fishery is still open to anglers and clubs that have booked will be accommodated

Anyone know what's going on? I was there a 10 days ago and it seemed OK.
