Anyone fishing at Syon Park Sunday? I was wondering if the blanket weed was a problem??

Hi, I am a regular at Syon park and last went there about 3 weeks ago, weed at the top only but that is where the fish are holding, use floating line and be prepared to take weed off you hook sometimes.

Down at the bottom the fish are still there and weed will be no issue.

I will be bacvk in London tis weekend and thought I would give this a try on Saturday. Anything I should know? Buzzers on a bung ok?

Well, I've just been there today (wandered round the car park end over the bridge) and I'd say it was choked with blanket weed. There are one or two clear-ish spots where I could see some fish moving around but the weed is around 6 - 10 feet out from just about every bank. I did see one nice fish of about 4lbs holding just in front of the slipway, and there may have been others (didn't have my polaroids) but I'd give it a miss if I were you.
