Default Rescobie

Has anyone been to Rescobie lately? Hows it fishing? Heard that some decent browns were being caught...

Hard work (for us anyway)! Tried everything, went everywhere, got a small brown (returned), a blue and two rainbows for the boat. Fish we got had been feeding on a real mixture (tiny olive buzzers seemed to feature in every fish) but nothing on the top. Nice dull day and light breeze too! No doubt you would have emptied the place...

It's very rarely that the fish are taken off the top at Rescobie. Too much good feeding under the surface for them to bother looking skywards

Wiremill,

That makes sense to me, I haven't fished Rescobie enough to get a feel for it but its a bonny loch and appears to be very rich.

I have seen it come alive for the odd sedge hatch in the past and there were a few kicking about yesterday, will try to get back for an evening next month.
