I fished this venue on Saturday 29th Jan. Fishing early on was tough, switching from Di6, to Di3, sink tips and even floaters and still no fish.

People fishing small buzzers under the indicator did very well through out the day. I tried buzzers, bibio's, damsels, sparklers, PTN, orange fritz, apps bloodworm, black pennel, bach's the whole fly box it seemed, all with not a touch. Come 3 o'clock i was loosing the will to live, yes the surroundings were great, as too was the weather, with just a slight breath of wind, but i wanted a fish. I then put on a Montana with green cheeks, first cast off the central bank casting into "barns" lake, BANG a fish of around 2lb, next cast another aroud the same weight, and then another of around 6lb. The result 8 fish in 45 min, what a turn around.

I suggest you try this venue, good fish and a nice environment. Just watch the wind as i guess it can get a bit windy up there!
