Default Curlys Horwich

Has anybody fished Curlys lately? Looking for a venue open during the winter for a few hours.
Any tips on tactics, methods and flies?

Default curleys horwich

went for a look saturday morning, like a building site at the moment. all the road side is out of bounds, due to the rebuilding of the wall.
the embankment was frozen all along and there was two pontoons fishable only (occupied) so i decided it was`nt worth it
will give it a go when the frost has gone, hopefully next week.

Same here. Looked at the blog and said roadside frozen. Two of us travelled 40 miles to fish and found the same. Went to Twin Lakes and had a reasonable day in difficult conditions.
Twin Lakes closes today for the last time, ever!!!

I was disappointed by Curleys TBH wasn't what I was expecting. Maybe worth a visit later in the year, but I'm in no rush!
Twin Lakes looked a cracking venue well from what I could see of it through the mist, for the vast majority of the day it visibility was not much more than 25yards. It's a shame it's closing down today, I really would of like to have gone back a few times of the next year...

Here's one I took for the pot taken on "old trusty" a goldhead yellow marabou tail buzzer.

This was taken at the clearest point of the day, there was a spell of around 15 minutes where the slightest of breezes could be felt against your cheek. Mr Walkerwood on the other side of the bridge to me.

But for most of the day it looked like this and worse.
