JohnH is on a distinguished road
Default Avon Springs 12/5

Fishery looks excellent right now, April's weed and algae problems have been fixed with an application of Norwegian barley straw extract and the water in both lakes is crystal clear. River beat looks fine too with nice level/flow, and good ranunculus growth in the faster stretches below the weir. Just a slight hazelnut tinge in the river, due to last weeks rain I expect, but that will soon clear.

After a slow start I worked my way up the house bank of Club lake and found fish (or they found me ) on the springs towards the top end and caught my 4 on an olive goldhead fished off a floating line, both slow and faster retrieves succeeded after about a 14-15 second sink time. Best 4-8, 2 other 4 pounders in the bag.
