Coldingham usually fishes well to nymphs and buzzers. Last time I was there (about this time last year ), it was small pheasant tails and diawl bachs that were catching. We got all ours in the west bay - the weed shouldn't be too bad yet.
Keep your eyes peeled for fish rising, small black cdc's normally get a response.

Tight lines.

Fished Coldingham Loch last Friday on a windy, cold day.
Fish were hard to come by but one angler caught 5 fish using small black cdc patterns casting into the margins.

If you are hiring a boat you will find the anchor is only a long round metal rod not the traditional with the prongs. when you are ready for the anchor, plunge it into the water and let out your slack line until it holds fast, this is the best method to hold the bottom.

Best of luck mate and tight lines.
