Just a couple of days off reopening, spoke to Mike this morning and he's going to start breaking up the ice today.

Got my rods cleaned, flylines stretched and flies all sorted only to be told yesterday that they're still 5 to 7 days off opening due to ice, gutted.

is anywhere in North Yorkshire open?

Hi Andy Lockwood definately isnt as I had a ride up there yesterday its only 6 miles for me

Looks like it could be a while, though things are thawing fast here it was 2-3 degrees colder than at my house.

I was hoping Wykeham would open as I dont know of anywhere else to try at the moment. Lockwood is my local also.

I dont fish Wykeham but was verrry cold here again last night and had the odd snow shower this morning....

Looks like being next weekend now before I'll be off to Wykeham, I'll get Mike to let me know when they're going to open again and I'll post on here.

Suppose I could get the spinning gear out and go to Scarborough, anyone know if there's any Mackerel about!!!!
