Default Farmoor re-opens

Good Morning

I am pleased to report that the site re-opened for fishing this morning. There is some Ice on F2 and the banks remain a little slippery but with care the fishery is operational. F1 has more Ice than 2 but there are areas that can be fished. The water level is up to normal so with long handled nets you don't need to tackle the sloping banks. Fingers crossed the snow will pass us by this time.
There are no fishing figures at this time but the usual deep methods for this time of year are recommended.

All the Best

Default Hi Gordon & Blenny Boy

F2 doesn't shut except for Christmas day or severe weather conditions. The 4 fish conc ticket is for the last 7hrs and up until 31st January it is £15.00

We have had a good few anglers through during the past two days some have caught and some haven't. There is a 13yr old lad fishing F1 at the moment, he has had 4 nice fish so far with a 4lb keeper.

The methods at the moment are deep sink lines, short leaders with something flashy and buoyant.

It does seem to make an exceptional difference if you move the fly a bit.

All the Best

Is F1 not completely C&R then, Royston? I've only eaten one Farmoor trout, on a day F1 was out of sorts and a ranger moved those fishing it onto F2, and superb eating it was too, but C&R suits me better because I can't use too many trout.

You can take one fish mate, i take very few but they do eat well.
