Default Sutton Bingham 28 April

I fished Sutton Bingham from the bank last Saturday, and it was a bit of a struggle. Bright sky and cool breeze basically from the east but veering between NE and SE. Usually here you can catch your share off the bank but about one trip in six or seven the boats do better, and this was one of those days as fish seemed grouped about 60 yards offshore and/or close to the downwind shore where boat fishers were having steady sport.

Bank anglers only seemed to be catching in one and twos and I was in the former category, the quality factor somewhat made up for it because my fish was a hard fighting, slim and silver 2-12 rainbow with a tail about as big as my hand, caught on a black superglue buzzer.
