Fished Venachar with a few pals,, weather far from perfect for brownies



My boat partner and I set off towards Beetle Bay and East Duulater

I started off with Gartmore Palmer and Kates,, nothing ,, we fished on down past the grass banks ,, still nothing ,, heard from Carl that Fruitbat had a good brownie.

We fished on till 1pm ,, then went in for lunch for a natter and to see what was happening on other boats

After lunch the sun was high in the sky and beating down on us ,, not good



We fished the Road shore ,, 1 hit that came to nothing. We moved all over the bottom end of the water ,, nope nothing,, the water was starting to get rougher and warmer.

For the last 30 mins we moved back to the road shore,, wets were not performing for out boat today ,, with nothing to lose ( last drift ) I stuck on a frazzle palmered damsel ,, 2 fish in 10 mins


Started getting pulls on the damsel,, next time i fish brownie waters ill try other methods other than wets

Not the best fishing day thou, a few fish had been taken from other boats from the site
