Default Lakedown Trout Fishery - East Sussex

Lakedown Trout Fishery – East Sussex
Date : 31/10/2010
My first visit to Lakedown fishery and thought i would type up a report as there isn’t much information on this fishery.

Think i may have just been blessed with good weather as it was very mild with only a slight breeze, however i had great sport.

It is such a lovely fishery, tucked away in the middle of nowhere, very quiet and large enough to take all morning to explore.

The Lodge is very good and the staff (Ted) was very helpful.

The four lakes were all fishing well, however lake 2 was every active with fish moving all over the surface.

The water isn’t crystal clear but slightly peat stained, however fish could be seen in the margins.

Caught all my fish on a sixe 16 red buzzer fished in the surface film (16ft leader), however from the catch book all methods were working well.

The fish in question are in fantastic condition and all put up a good account.

There are even wild brown trout in the lakes, however they are most frequent in lake 1.

Would add my photos however i can’t get them off my phone at the moment.
