david,

I fished Lechlade a couple of weeks ago and had a terrible day..partly due to the wind, I think. Took one for 7lbs.

However, there was one Welsh chap who had a big cast. He was down at the bottom end, fishing a drift with buzzers and a sight indicator..he was catching...watching for the most minute of touches.

went down a couple of weeks back and had a 9 and a 7 1/2 cracking fish, the 9 took about 40-50 yards of backing, went like a bonefish. Try daddies there were plenty around, either dry or sunk.

Must have been an absolute bummer only getting one at 7lbs Lol.

Thumbs up lechlade

fished lechlade 3 days ago did my 4 fish all big fish a good day was had if you are going mayfly nymph and gold head damsels work well keep on the top area of the lake its always better up there even though everybody seems to head to the bottom area lechlade allways goes quiet in the afternoons so dont start to feel frustrated if you arent catching at this time it normally comes alive again 2hrs before close

If you arrive early try walking round the lake checking the edges with a stalkin bug sometimes pick up the bigger fish or brownies like this before the madding crowds arrive

good luck hendersons
