Anyone else on here fish the loch? I fish up here when the brownie season is over. Had a great day today, the fish are second to none especially now the water is a little colder even the 2lbers take a while to come in on the 5 weight. There is a lot of varied fishing too, buzzers and nymphs in the margins, dries when the sun comes out(there are plenty of eager risers) and some deep holes for lure pulling. John the owner always has time for a good chat too.

Fished up at the golden loch today and had a ball, went up about 9 and it was freezing with the fog so wasn't expecting much till abit later. How wrong could I be, myself and two lads on a boat couldn't stop hitting fish. Even when I tried to have a chat with John, two casts two fish. All of the fish fought like 4-5lbs but when I got them in they were about 2-3lbs but In great condition. I had 16 fish ranging from 2-4lbs and lost about 5 or 6 twice snapped by two big fish that I wasnt expecting. Loch looks great and the fishing was unreal, best fish of the day was an awesome little blue trout, looking forward to catching it again when it's a bit bigger.
