Default buzzers

about 4 pm today, i had had enough of computers and post offices ? and it was getting to be a little overcast,i needed to go fishing,so i did.got to the loch intending to fish the bank,as i have done twice this week with reasonable results.but as i pulled into the car park,a boat was just coming into the pier.they asked if i wanted the boat, so i took it ,best decision iv'e had this year.went to the top of the wind (e) with a ghost tip (9') and took 2 on the 1st drift. went back over drift ,but only got a few bumps,i decided to drift the lenght of the loch.as i got to the west end i picked up a couple of bonny fish, and saw another couple rising, both fish took when covered there was a definite rise to emerging buzzers,i changed the top dropper to a snatcher this took another 4 fish with as many knocks. by this time it was getting dark and the rise was tailing off.magic night with 2 browns for 2lb4oz to the boat with 10 browns returned.

i love fishing

jim

Isn’t it funny how the impromptu trips and decisions made on the hoof usually turn out to be some of the most memorable? Although I look forward to certain days out and enjoy them, there is something magic about humming and hawing, deciding in favour of and having a great time.

It’s not all about bagging up either… a couple of unexpected broonies, or one over wintered fish usually stay in the memory long after bagged up days have come and gone. Maybe it’s something to do with getting older.

Must be nice to be able to just go fishing on a whim like that. It takes me weeks of planning having got a pass from the wife and kids, arranged the company and venue, made sure my rod hasn't been used as a makeshift wig wam pole etc etc

Anyway, what I meant to say was, any chance of letting us know which loch it was Jim that you fished, being as this is the stillwater update section. Unless your just making us jealous and keeping what sounds a cracking loch as your secret venue.
