Default Butterstone

Hi mate,

If you have a look here.

Butterstone Loch - Fly fishing for Trout and Pike in Scotland

Been up twice in the last 4 weeks, lots of fish including one @ 10lbs 13oz. A lot of doubles in at the moment.

Got most of the fish on blobs/boobies on a slow glass at the road shore.

Enjoy

Fishing really well at the moment....fished it last Saturday - had my limit with 2 cormorants on a sink tip. Started up at the top end and worked my way down the road shore.

Just outside the jetty to right was fishing really well (bit too busy for me tho).

Fish still reasonably high in the water.

Saw one chap land a 25lb pike on the fly (eventually) !

Thanks for your info,

We fished on monday in what looked like ideal conditions but 19 of us only managed to catch 13 fish a very hard day, freezing cold and windy with a spot of rain by the end of it. Most of the fish were caught on cormorants along the road shore down to the fishing lodge, I had mine on size 12 sparkler booby and a couple caught on an orange blob. Nice water and looking forward to trying again next year.

Cheers

Al
