Thanks for the info. Had 4 on Thursday night on olive buzzers from the willows, both other flies on the cast ignored.

Going again for a full day on Saturday.

Quite strange that Thor, had diawl backs above the damsel on a floater , not a fish to the nymphs

Fished Eyebrook for the first time last Tuesday - we had 42 to the boat including a 7lb 11oz rainbow which took about 20 mins to land. Majority taken on size 12 skinny diawl bachs with a green rib, although a bloodworm pattern on the point was also very effective. Floating lines, boat at anchor. Spooned fish had shrimp and very small buzzers - too small to imitate. Areas were from Donno's (?) cabin along to willows, with majority of fish taking within 10 yards of shore - cast up to shore followed by dead slow figure 8 retrieve, just keeping in touch with flies. Takes were mainly positive.
Great advice from the female warden in the morning - put us straight onto the fish.
Tight lines

Curiouser and curiouser.
Maybe retrieve is the key, Marra said very slow. I fished my buzzers static on a washing line (very shallow), any movement and forget a take. It was also flat calm. Nothing visible hatching, a few hoppers and the like in the air, but noting to speak of on the water.
