has anybody been to them lakes before

Yes, around 3 years ago.........my club had a day up there last year and it was by all accounts very good indeed, the qwners laid on a lunch for them as it was just our guys fishing and I gather everyone had a great day and the food was very good as well. John

good place and everything you would want, seems really well run, possibly a bit too tidy even (ie golf course like) which is not everyoness cup of tea but a good place to go - I like Beanhill which is close by

I went there once in late Aug 05 for an evening session. Very challenging until the sun got low in the sky - I eventually got 3 nice fish on size 16 Daiwl Bachs. The guys fishing larger flies didn't seem to catch. I enjoyed it - as described above, and meant to go back, but didn't get round to it before I moved north.
