Default Rutland

Fishing it's head off at the moment as you would expect so early in the season. I've had 21 fish in 2 1/2 days from 2lb to 4lb and fighting fit.

charlie , they are pretty much everywhere at the moment , but you need to fish from 70 yds into the bank. Normanton bank , Golf Course , Green Bank and Sykes Lane all holding good numbers of fish, regards mick

2 orange blobs Charlie fished right into the bank at the concrete post between the blue pipes and the 2 trees.

Was at Old Hall point on Monday morning and it was storming, with fish taking in the top five feet on an orange goldhead buzzer! I had my bag limit in about 4 hours and this despite a stiffish breeze making casting tricky. Mostly recent stockies of 2lb+ which fought very well, one overwintered fish with very well mended fins!

Lot of quite fresh cormorant damage on some of the fish though - what is up with those idiotic creatures thinking they can take fish of that size!!! So instead they just stab them in the side and carry on regardless!
