Bl$$dy disappointing day. Was there for about 6 hours today and didn't get so much as a pull. Tried a floater and loads of different flies then a sinker with loads of different flies then back to the floater with the rest of the flies I didn't try earlier with no luck.
It's an old quarry so the edge drops straight down about 20' out but the shelf is only a foot deep so you have to wade out to get near the fishing. I don't have waders
Not many open places to cast either what with the trees so you have to watch your backcast.
So not the best days fishing but still a nice day out, especially when your wife feeds you stawberries and cream from the caravan halfway through
