Not been myself, but a Friend did last week he had 5 on a afternoon ticket,
and on filling in his returns saw that someone had caught and released
40 fishing from the bank.

Fished on Good friday - 10 of us from the Potteries Fly Tying Club. Caught lots of fish in Toft on all sorts of flies and all sorts of lines. Conditions bright and sunny.

Good flies were White + Green Taddy on a Floater or a DI 3 - fished at anchor.

A couple of the lads caught a load of fish on boobys + Blobs!! drifting and fishing Di 7

Best fish of the day for our party was a 9lb 4 Rainbow ( another fluke for Iain Baddeley)

Fish came on the top in the last hour - but were difficult.

All in all a good day out - Cheers Steve Cooper

I was talking to one of the Czech team, yesterday who fished at Hanningfield. They are over here for a week and fished Draycote last week.

He reckoned he had fifty fish on buzzers

Chatted to a guy who had boat fished two weeks running and had 25 fish on his first trip, then 26 fish on his second trip. However he did say that they were all new stockies, no over wintered fish were seen at all.

One of the regulars had 52 fish from the bank.

All of these fish we caught on buzzers.

Hope this helps.
