Default Info on salisbury & District mixed fisheries

Hi all, I have bought a mixed fishery ticket for salisbury and district ( still on the premium waiting list !). Has anyone fished any of the waters listed? If so what are they like and what sort of tackle will i need.
cheers
Al.

Hi Alfy,

I'm a full member and may fish those stretches a bit this year, you can use any fly style for trout, and there are some big fish I believe, plus pike.

Perch too.

I would go to Burgate Manor Farm, fish a big mayfly nymph - barbel, trout, etc.

Also might be worth tying up some swans as there wasn't a weekend that passed without a prolific hatch

Al I will be more than happy to show you about................Again

Hi Al
I fished the mixed fisheries around Salisbury TC a fair bit 2006/7 season - happy to show you around. Excepting pike/salmon a #3-5, 7.5-9 ft rod will be fine.

LOL Yes once again Jay you can show me around. It's becoming something of a habit . You always seem to be one step ahead of me. Isn't the mixed fisheries slumming it for you with your premium ticket . Seriously though cheers mate i graciously accept.

Also Mark thanks also to you, it'd be great to fish with you again mate.
cheers
Al.
