Default The score so far

Anybody manage to put one on the board today?

Personally I might see if I can get out to one of the higher Usk or Wye tributary's tomorrow.

Forget it mate. Was out today in the Black Mountains on the Upper Monnow system. There have been major rainfalls up there 2 inches in the last 24hrs Even at the top of the Monnow system where it is a small stream (bedrock and fast clearing) , the fish were lying doggo.

It'll be the same on the WUF waters and could even be worse tomorrow with the extra rain. But hey at least we got out on opening day

Wink ach well

Thanks TM .
I was up that way my self having a little reconnoitre for the first day.
BUT I had my dog with me and there is little you can do when you have a three legged dog with you .
I ended up sitting around the back of the church at Clodock for a while managed to convince my self it was starting to fine off.. .....Ah well the power of suggestion .

I must say though what I did see, mostly from the road has my appetite well and truly wetted (no pun intended).

May be I will do the same tomorrow but without the tripod.
