Default River Earn Levels

I fished the Earn at Kinkell Bridge on Saturday and it was showing 1.2 metres on the stick and this was the same level as shown on the SEPA website for Kinkell Bridge. When i checked the FishTay site it showed 2' 11" for Kinkell Bridge on the same day so where does the discrepancy come from. The readings for this morning shows SEPA 0.95 metres and FishTay 2' 3" thats a fair old difference, are there two measuring stations at Kinkell ?

the fishtay one is not reliable, and the earn can rise and fall very quickly. If they are only updated once a day they can be way out. If anyone wants to know the levels I live nearby and usually know the score....feel free to PM me.
I don't see the river being fishable for a couple of days.....water will be getting big and certainly down at Kinkell/Dunning, dirty. Its still lashing down (2pm) and up at Crieff area we had 5-6 inches of snow, and of course on all the hills....that is melting bringing the river up and bringing the water temp down.

The FishTay seems to be updated every hour ? does no one out there no if there are two measuring stations at Kinkell. Its ok to say just check the one site but most people say the Fish Tay is the best but the stick at Sandy's is in metres the same as SEPA
