Default Day ticket river fishing

Hi all,

I am looking to gain some experience on my first season river fishing.

Is there any day tickets available within a 2 hour drive of London where i haven't got to pimp out the wife to pay for it?

Cheers Mark

Try Barton Court or Denford both on the Kennet between Newbury and Hungerford. They are not the cheapest but Barton Court can be very nice.

Also within 2 hours would be the Itchen at Winchester where there is apparently a free stretch (see Jon Beer in T&S a month or so ago) and the Test in Stockbridge where the Greyhound has a short stretch at a reasonable price.

Dever Springs near Andover has a stretch of the Dever available and Avon Springs near Amesbury has a nice stretch of the Avon.

I had been spared to see another spring, and I thank God for it.”

The Bull at Fairford has a stretch on the Coln. Nice little chalk stream in the heart of the Cotswolds. Tel 01285 712535 . See the post about it on here.
