ROVER is on a distinguished road
Default River Swale

Does anyone have experience of trout fishing on the swale around Grinton and Reeth areas as I am interested in giving it a shot. What is the average stamp of fish like etc, what type of water, can the occasionan 'bigger' fish turn up, etc etc etc.?

I have fished it between Reeth and Low Row. It is very lightly fished and I'm not sure if there are any day tickets. Most of the trout are in the 8-10 inch category, but there are some bigger fish to be found. Pictures here of it last September when it was quite low:
