Unhappy Sixmile Water Antrim - Condition

Hi,

Coming back in July and hoping for a bit of fishing on the 6 mile, but saw on Sky NI that there has been some kind of spill, killing fish ? Any news ?

Cheers
Darren

All the rivers are very low here at the minute. Haven't heard of a kill on the 6mile this year but there has been quite a few in recent years.

If we get no rain soon, take a SWFF setup with you.

not a fish kill really. However 2 weeks ago there was some sort of sewage fungus and canoeing/fishing etc. on the river was stopped due to health issues.

Yeah, it's getting worse too. There'll be a lot more fish kills in the coming weeks if there's no rain.

There was one yesterday: Northern Ireland heatwave blamed for fish deaths in reservoir - Local & National, News - Belfasttelegraph.co.uk (at least we get to look at the women in bikini's - Ulster's Sizzling Hot!)

Not looking good on the weather side,....son inlaw was at a fishery the other day and was watching fish keel over due to low oxygen levels....we need some good rain dancers or a lot of fish will suffer
