Default Ribble, Hodder, Wyre and Lune

Hello, this is going to be the new Ribble, Hodder, Wyre and Lune thread for the North West.

Has anyone been on the Ribble recently as I may be fishing at Elston or Mitton at the weekend?

fished my usual haunt on the ribble near Red Scar woods but after watching several fish rise I could only manage 2 out of season chub. Both fell to a size 18 light olive. No sign of anything of any size inc. sea trout in these lower stretches I'm afraid guys.

Tight lines

River nice colour at tickle trout with all this recent rain. Should be perfect for the weekend. Has anyone been out on it lately?

Had a couple of hours on the lower Hodder on Sunday evening. Reasonable about of water still carrying a little colour. Lots of very small fish showing but nothing significant. There was a hatch of small upwing pale yellow flies which I've seen before but I'm buggered if I know what they are. What I do know is that I've nothing in my box remotely like them!
No one else fishing that evening - do they all know something I don't?
