Hi,
Just a thought i would put on a thread regards Walkerwood Fly Fishery.
At the start of the season the new owner took over and has transformed this fishery. Congrats Pete & well done.
You are now able to fish this Res. from any banking. There has also been some new interesting pegs cut into the banking. These are area's that have never been fished before.
At present the venue is fishing very well with some double figure rainbows being pulled out. The water fishes well all day, but I tend to enjoy the evening sessions. At around 7pm onwards, this water is a dry fly heaven.
You are surrounded by the views of the moors and at times you don't realise you are in good old Stalyvegas. You are fishing the 1st of four res. & with the local wildllife often on show and the odd pheasant saying hello, it really is a special place to fish.
If you are a FLOAT TUBER, then get yourself down. This res. has never been fished in the middle or on certain parts. Every float tuber I have spoken to has had a cracking day and has been fully looked after by Pete & his team. (its around 80ft in the middle......)
If you own your own boat you can take it up and fish, but contact the fishery prior to attending.
I have fished Buzzers, Drys & the odd lure and very rarely blanked at this water.
Have you had any recent fantastic days or stories about walkerwood?
