Just wondering if anyone has any recomendations for campsites by rivers (or lakes or small still waters) in the lake district.

Hi Sheepy, the camping and caravanning club have a campsite in keswick which adjoins 2 rivers, see this link keswick - Google Maps - i doubt whether you would find a campsite nearer to trout fishing in the lakes!!

As a kid i used to fish both rivers and had some cracking trout out, though not on the fly, i wasnt educated then!!

I think there is a thread somewhere on the forum which gives details of day tickets available.
