trout and grayling on the wear

hi all new to the site was hopeing to get some info on spots for trout and grayling around durham city due to no transport only place i can travel to. had some nice trout out of the sands stretch but no grayling any info is mutch welcome

Hi first I have not fished the wear for years.

But I dont think there is many Grayling in the wear. The Tees is a better bet for grayling.

Hi and welcome,

I am a member of DCAC and fished the Wear in Durham for the first time last season. Had a few browns, but talking to other members it sounds like it is better for the seatrout than browns.

Hi and welcome as you say that you have no transport call into your local tackle shop and ask for their advice, I believe the game fishing starts from Croxdale up stream.
