Default River Eden - Lazonby Estates

Hi All

I am taking my brother and father (for his 60th) to fish the eden on the Lazonby Estates. All booked in for 7&8th August.
We have permits for the upper and lower beats.

I am hoping that someone on here can let me have a beat map for both stretches and provide some advice. We normally fish Rutland and a few years ago had a trip to the River Finn.

We are staying at the Dukes Head in Armathwaite.

Any advice would be great.

Chris

Oh yeah, sorry just re-read your first post....duh.

If you are trouting, then I would definitely recommend the upper beat. There are lots of good pools - The Meadows, Top Hole Corner, a bit in between the two which holds as high a density of trout as I've ever known in a stretch of water.....nightmare to wade though.

Edwin, the keeper will be generous with his advice once you are there. If you need some really in depth info, you could try contacting my friend Patrick who guides on both beats and knows them very well.

Good luck,
Matt
